I have this problem. I had my left hippocampus removed in 2014, when I was 18, because I had seizures and wanted to be able to drive. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that I am absolutely terrible at driving. I have no sense of direction at all and need a GPS if I'm going literally anywhere, and as ...

I'll be 28 in January, and they're all still alive and in their own homes. I don't know anyone else my age who has all four grandparents still living.

I am an outstanding speller and have won several spelling bees. I was the copy editor on my high school and college newspapers and currently proofread documents for an insurance broker. English grammar is a special interest, and when I combine that with my natural autistic ability to see small detai...

Not via search, but one day, I was looking at the statistics of my town on city-data.com, and one thing that was linked there was the sex offenders. I looked at it out of curiosity and found my mom’s ex-boyfriend on it.

This is probably a touchy subject, and I really don’t want to come off the wrong way, but I know there’s a member who makes a thread almost every time there’s a mass shooting in the US, and they usually don’t receive too many responses. Another forum I use just has a general thread about guns that g...

Good luck. I had a tutor and studied my ass off in that class in high school, and I still failed it. I didn’t know at the time that my left hippocampus hadn’t developed and thus caused an impairment in my ability to retain information without a “trigger” like multiple choice. I was angry that I had ...

Yeah, I definitely feel this. It was a part of what made college extremely depressing for me. Now I work from home, shop online, and live with a roommate who has also never been in a relationship, so I rarely go outside and interact with other people. I’m trying to go back to living alone because th...

Thanks for the helpful replies, everyone. I’ve told him that I’m casually looking for a new apartment, and he’s not angry about it anymore. He understands the issue and says he’s been working on cleaning his room. I’m not sure if that’s true, but when I asked him about how it got this way, he said i...

https://i.ibb.co/Gxz7hBz/IMG-0135.jpg This is my roommate’s bedroom. Now that I have your attention, here’s what’s going on with my roommate and me. I have known the person who is my roommate since I began high school in 2010. We are both 27. He is the only friend I have left. A few years after gra...

I work for an insurance broker and have tried to get my company affiliated with this company, but I think GAIN only partners with companies in the UK. I hope it expands to the US at some point.

I have always been an outstanding speller. If spelling reform came into existence, it would be much more common for people to be good spellers, and there would be less of a demand for people with my talents to be editors. Therefore, I say no!

I don’t know music at all, but I do know this song. It was the song that played in the video showing pictures throughout the life of my fourth grade teacher who died of cancer in 2010. She was one of my favorite teachers, and that song and that video made me cry.

I went from a public junior high school to a Catholic high school, and the difference in how I was treated was night and day. Almost everyone in high school was so nice; I never got bullied the way I did in junior high.

I am terrible at it. I got my license at age 20 after having my left hippocampus removed so my seizures would stop. But that hippocampus, which never developed, led me to have no sense of direction at all; I usually get lost if I drive more than a mile and my GPS is malfunctioning. It’s also overwhe...
