I've had at least one browser hijack when WP was the only site I had up. Different regions, different targeted ads, who knows? Lately, after maybe three or four unplanned redirections in one day (not WP, it was on a site unrelated to autism) I finally bit the bullet and installed Firefox with Adbloc...

Good wishes to Merle and Richie for welcome new developments at work. Even the most change-averse among us can get a lot of benefit from the occasional paradigm shift. Agree with Nan, though, that being stuck in foreign airports is taking it too far.

Also, MsTriste, there is a thread about rdos's aspie quiz in the Members Only discussion --> HERE. Many of us have taken the test, some more than once, because different versions of it get released from time to time.

Similar to "caught flatfooted," there's an expression in Australia (probably elsewhere as well) "caught on the back foot." This makes most sense when considered from a cricket batsman's perspective, where having your centre of gravity shifted to your forward -most foot allows you more options for re...

I think the student uprisings of May-June 1968 in France and other parts of Europe may have been slightly before your time, Lemon. :) These protests that Nan is talking about do not sound much like that era, though. Fancy the Black Student Union wanting preferential treatment and separation from oth...

I like a doctor that you can swap bullsh!t stories with, and have a yarn about how the stock market is going, or discuss how the flora are different from one continent to the next, and how that affects allergic response in a susceptible individual, and other important matters of this kind. It's some...
