Holiday happy thoughts, Botti, Mad and folks I don't know. I was away but now I am back. Okay, I just was a bit down and not posting for a bit. I was missing my good folks on this fun forum, though. How is it will all you fantastic folks? I am mostly in this building my kids bought although a box or...

I would try to help but I didn't read the other thread, don't know how to find it, and don't know what you're thinking about in your writing. Sorry.

I can understand that when you are pro gay marriage and most americans are not, you easily get annoyed on this issue. Somehow I doubt you are actually informed as to what "most" Americans feel. Most Americans who are so wrapped up in their religion that they can't think logically might feel that wa...

Oregon, I think you have a very valid point and a good idea. Let's just do that. Call 'em all "civil unions" (the government is, after all, merely regulating a contract between consenting adults) and leave "marriage" to the religious. However I also agree that the "seperate but equal" proposition in...

Yes, Speeder, it really is harder for an adult to get diagnosed. It is even harder for an adult woman to get diagnosed because women tend to be more socially adept anyway. I spent most of my life using self-help books to learn how to interact with people and now my diagnosis is Schizoid Personality ...

I agree with you, gnosis. I just didn't want to load down the post with too many suggestions -- but you're absolutely correct. :)

I love lavender and find it relaxing too. However I believe that "Essential Oils" is a multilevel marketing venture with no real science behind it, which means you'll be paying way too much for whatever benefit you receive. You can buy lavender oil through the internet for a fraction of what you're ...

No, but my grandson's school used ABA and let me come in and observe the classroom to get tips on how to work with him at home. They also did home visits for conferences, which was wonderful for learning how he was doing and what we might want to concentrate on at home. ABA and PECS worked wonders w...

Hi all. Posting did not occur for a bit for I am not snoozing in a good way. Staying up past snoozing hours and up too soon is what I am doing too much of. Baby is wanting much holding -- has a bad thrush rash on bottom. Mom and Dad will visit doctor today to fix this baby bottom pain. Doctor wants ...

Wow, I feel for you. We're having similar problems with our school district with two of my grandsons, one with ADHD and one with classic autism. Neither are having their needs met to my satisfaction, although we're doing fairly well at advocating because I hound my children about it all the time. On...

I didn't want to go to school during my school annums too. I was happy to know how to absorb books and how to author books too, though. I don't know if I was sharing, but Aidan is not in typical school class this annum. It was a try, but Aidan was not up for it. Aidan is in a class with two kids plu...

Botti, I am sorry about your cat. Would you think about taking my cat? This cat did much pain to my son and I today. You should all know this: Do Not Put A Cat In A Box!! Cat was not amusing. Blood ran copiously. Now I must try again to shift my cat from old building to this building. Oh, and this g...

I am back for a bit (okay, just tonight) to say Hi all! I miss this fun. Now I am not just packing but must also go to school with my son's firstborn son. (Aidan has autism. Aidan starts school for kids four plus half of two in annums. Aidan did not do good this first day.) Aidan's instructor did no...

Rain, rain, rain day prior to today. Today was cloudy and a bit of rain, but not much. Hot air is past too. So hot as to fry poultry fruit on a walkway prior to rain. It is a good six plus six plus four plus four units of warmth down from prior warmth. I think fall is falling now. School starts agai...

I don't know that said study would work, Sart. Animal brains (and fish, birds, bugs, and so on) form in ways that making comparisons of no good. As in, front portion of brain is big on humans but not on animals, things similar to that. So, good thinking out of box, but I doubt it will bring good wis...
