came up with a variant of an algorithm to find the longest increasing subsequence of a permutation using Patience Sorting, except it has O(n) efficiency, pretty chuffed with it :) Still a bit inefficient though, its written in R and uses loops, not the apply functions :) Also, hey everyone, its been... |

B. Professionally, I totally disagree with his Linguistics and hate what he did to the profession. His Linguistics and mine are not chalk and cheese [good chalk is a pleasure to use] but mayonnaise and cheese [a fresh slab of Jarlsberg for me, please]. I you referring to his thrashing of the idea t... |

Best paper I've ever read.
"The greeks invented anal lube. This is my conclusion". Fantastic. No way it's genuine though; 61%? |

I can't belive anyone voted for criticizing the government to be criminalized...but to each their own I guess, I just think it is important for the citizens to be able to criticize the government. The precise problem is that in a democratic society, that isn't true. Majority rules, and if they try ... |

None of the above, although "picketing schools" would be the closest. I've seen some disgusting footage of children been scared s**tless by waves of screaming protestants on BBC (if the converse happens, it is obviously equally as disgusting). |

Im curious to hear just what significant advances Muslims or Islamic nations in general have brought about these past 1500 years. Algebra and Optics. Next question. Most contributions Muslim scholars made were made prior to 1300 in our calender which is about the time when Islam went Dark. ruveyn T... |

After meeting an athiest for the first time, in high school, it took me about a year to give up religion. About 10 years later, I realized I didn't really believe in athiesm either. Atheism isn't necessarily a positive disbelief in God; Atheism is the catch all category for all those who do not act... |

I thought it was hilarious that people believed in God by the time I was six. I actually rated the existence of Santa as being more likely, because he seemed to perform tangible acts, unlike God. I stopped believing in Santa at seven, but I maintain that it is a more justified belief than in a do-no... |

If a gene gives an organism a reproductive advantage (down to sexual, artificial or natural selection, or even cultural influences), the gene will increase in frequency. I hope that w... |
