It's not that being offended is unacceptable, it's that a lot of women have left the site because of it, and several have expressed that they feel uncomfortable posting. I made a thread about it in the Haven and there were several women who said they feel unwelcome, one woman even said every time s...

Or should I move on? I've been dating the same guy for three years and I'm so over some of the crap he does. The biggest thing getting on my nerves right now is how he tells everyone in my house, including the animals "I'm going to punch/kick you in the face." Someone angers him at work, he complai...

There not much you can do looks wise really. I find simply by being female and there you'll get approached sexually. Developing strong boundaries is key. If someone comes up to you and it doing/saying something to make you feel uncomfortable, just make it plain. Be cold, no talking/smiles, turn your...

It certainly is possible. And yes, there are a few risks. I think try it, just make sure you can go home if it doesn't suit. Apply for social workers or mentors (there are organisations for this) to help you with keeping track of practical things/run social questions past if you're not sure of them....

:( I'm sorry to see how many other women have bad pain. I'm especially sorry for Lotus blossom's daughter. I know she wouldn't want to be examined or have any endometriosis operated on, but is it possible she could go on Depo Provera to stop her periods? I'm not sure if it's because I regularly have...

Wow anbuend. I'm really sorry to hear about your abuse and not having your anger recognised. It must have been awful when your feelings were ignored and nothing was done to help. Yes, I'm aware - I did very well in Biology, in which the endocrine system was covered. I'm not repeating stereotypes or ...

Thanks for the responses people! I was wondering about the AS-AS thing, if the similarity would help or hinder being friends... but what you say about aspies not getting along kind of makes sense. I might give it a go one day, the activities sound pretty good. But I won't give my last name or where ...

Nah, I just meant his sheer size from puberty made it possible for him to beat up and kill his mum. Plus apparently puberty hormones often spark off much worse aggression (Rage Cycles) in autistic boys when they reach it. But yeah, there's huge potential for abuse with these drugs. I never said ther...

You're right anbuend. I meant theoretically, in the extreme cases that would barely ever happen, when other people required protection from the disabled person. Like in the Sky Walker case. (Google it, and tell me reason would've worked) It would be irresponsible to suggest chemical castration as a ...

Spectrumers Meetups! After searching for an autism social club I can get to - I just stumbled on one. I'm thinking about it; because although I've been going really well socially in the time I've been away from WP, I'd like to go out more often still. The problem is that while I haven't met many, my...

Of course it's all the fault of the women that autistic genes are passed on. The men will be happy if the women prevent that ever happening again - by refusing to accept dates or have sex! LOL Jokes people    I agree with Erisad that that's just rubbish. So I try not to buy into chauv...

Fair enough, my post wasn't meant to be a blanket statement. I just saw the posts until the last one were unanimous, and wanted to say to the people that it's not always black and white. There's cases in which it could help, and as you said there's also cases in which it can do so much harm. Ps. I w...

Yeah, I can see your point. Now I don't think this is right - it's done without consent, and has some pretty far reaching implications. But I can see how parents could be desperate enough to do this. With their lack of understanding; people with severe autism and/or intellectual disablities can ofte...

I don't know what happened here, but just wanted to add my two cents on this general issue for everybody. This advice applies to men and women, gay or straight. Follow or don't follow, it's your choice. People do have disagreements- but while it's ok to be annoyed and disagree about something, it's ...

I think the joke is that his parents constantly give him coffee, and all the caffeine makes him agitated and 'tweak' like he's on drugs. Poor Tweak XD
