Did you know that if your boyfriend smashes your computer into smithereens because he got caught hanging out with another woman, that you can connect your keyboard into the television? The graphics are amazing! But no more computer or boyfriend. See you all some other time.

Given that the original posts in question have been edited, I can not speak to what was said previously. However, it is important for both KoS and MsT (among others) to understand that WP is a support site; that does not make it the sole domain of those on the spectrum, nor an acceptable place to d...

Message to KoS: While you may be allowed to read and post in this thread, you might want to think a little more carefully before you post. Your blanket statements with all caps about aspies demanding this and that, and the sense of entitlement, are not only wrong, but also inflammatory. Your opinion...

Last night a witty neighbor was visiting for a few minutes, and he referred to something as being "honky-dory". I laughed and told him it was "hunky", not honky. So we speculated about the origins of the term, coincidentally enough with your post above (thank you - I love word derivations). Hunky co...

Eventually I found a niche, but I could have saved myself years of hurdle and hoop jumping, and half of this grey hair, and a five-figure student loan debt had I had a clue early on that there was no way it was going to work.... If we could all just find our niche, what a beautiful world this would...

I love Belgium. :D I'm thinking of visiting family in Holland this summer, maybe I'll stop off in Belgium. You wanted aspie advice, so here's mine: You excel at a lot of subjects, so stop worrying about areas where you are weaker. I know aspies tend to worry obsessively, so that can be easy to say, ...

Be who you are never change, because who comes into your life and stays will be because they like you for you, flaws and all, the good out ways the bad. Try your best each day, never give up forever. Set a small goal for yourself each day or week get up to it, because when you hit that small goal a...

Dutch Uncle discussion So the cousin who's trying to convince me to come to Holland is one who I only recently got back in touch with. We were out of contact for years because she got pissed at me because my father told her I thought she was a thief. Aspie family dynamics, sigh. The thing is, she wa...

the trouble is social workers are NTs and find aspies annoying just like the rest of them, even worse they are taught to be worried about 'strange parents' and their effect on kids, its my bad luck to be caught in their web and under their scrutiny and the more I struggle the more stuck I become. I go into the kitchen and try to help by offering to do dishes or even cook. Or make myself useful or at least look busy, so others won't try to talk to me. Or act as bartender/make a pot of coffee or tea, stuff like that. Easy to do, keeps your mind focused on a simple activity rather than the peop...
