Charisma wise, yes Policy wise, sorta not really. War is bad for business. He's much more in favor of a plutocracy. So no. Not the message sent by his cabinet picks. Honestly, I think the bigger concern though is that he would be more like one of those strongmen that we see in 3rd world countries. ...

I would say Secretary of State or Secretary of the Treasury would be my top 2 interests. Of course ignoring that these jobs would probably be very difficult jobs that people often take out of prestige, and that the real me may not actually want those jobs that badly.

How about the non-nuclear space based anti-missile defense system? I think if anyone could do it it would be the Japanese. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2858828/Japan-s-Hayabusa-2-begins-landmark-mission-hunt-asteroid-hold-clues-Earth-formed.html Japanese space program is way past ...

Nope. Still a bad idea. The less nukes, the less chance of random utter terror happening due to whatever million different failure points that can emerge.

Not with anything like the same degree of success, no. Countless polls of British Muslims (who I agree are among the best integrated in Europe) show majority support for Sharia, intolerance for homosexuality, etc. I very much doubt that a US police department would allow organised abduction and rap...

Do you include enforcement of pronoun usage in "protecting gender identity"? My chief concern with "hate crime" laws is that they're frequently applied without consideration of mens rea. Besides, the motive behind an action has little bearing on the result beyond informing it. I...

Christ, you really are naive, but that’s par for the course on this forum. Can you not think of any other interest groups in society beyond “liberals” and “conservatives”? Can you not even imagine that some people have other group loyalties they care more about than the “liberal” or “conservative” ...

Big wow, “liberal” outlets and “conservative” outlets are attacking the same guy. Instead of automatically taking this to mean that their claims are true, perhaps you might instead take it as evidence that maybe these media outlets have certain shared agendas behind their “liberal” and “conservativ...

Okay, maybe a mathematical model well makes things more clear. So there is a person and then there is society. The person has to make a selection from a series of choices. Each choice has an outcome which has an effect on the person and on society, which is represented with a number for each, the h...

Ok, Shahunshah. A few different words: 1) Isn't your task ironic? If you've noticed, you're actually in the act of trying to persuade Ganondox and me that arguing with people is wrong. And there are only 2 ways this can go: a) You provide something somewhat undermining to what we already believe, wh...

Entire books have been written on why the USSR failed. None of them change the fact that capitalism is fundamentally incapable of handling the problems we now face. It has spurred tremendous technological advancements and intellectual achievements but has reached the point of obsolescence. There is...

You talk about allowing certain opinions as if it is the same as allowing people to have a warped sense of reality. That isn't actually the case. I think it's the case by definition. If your opinions are wrong, and if these opinions are connected to a world of other opinions(which they are) then to...
