The only thing really wrong with the word "eccentric" is that "eccentric" is the word people use when they're trying not to say "weird." Might as well just say "weird," huh? I don't like "heavy" for the same reason. It's what people go to when they're trying not to say "fat," so for gosh sakes, just...

I am sorry, we won't be able to make it this time. Our elderly cat who has kidney failure has just taken a turn for the worse, and sadly, we must take her to the vet for the last time tomorrow. :(

I had to vote "other" because several of the answers would have been correct. Although the death of a person is tragic, the thousands of deaths caused by him is even more tragic, and his death needed to happen. I am glad he is gone, but I don't feel it is morally right to celebrate the fact.

I was also wondering why the OP hasn't come back and defended his/her viewpoint. What I likened it to was a hit-and-run driver. Cause wreckage, and flee the scene.

I'm a 46-year-old woman, and I don't even know what ToM is.

Oh, very good, dismiss the struggles of the undiagnosed as "emo". That always helps.

Exactly right. I wondered wtf was meant by "just emo" anyway.

I am ambidextrous. I remember even my kindergarten teacher expressing frustration because she never knew whether to give me the righty or the lefty scissors. Today I can do most things with either hand, including writing, but I prefer to use my left. There is a small number of things I do with one h...

Just to confirm my suspicions, I ran a little test on my husband. The joke, on a television show, was that a character said something, and another character answered, "I don't like the sound of that." So the first character said the same thing he'd said before, in an entirely different tone. Presuma...

I don't know if there is any place I can go, online or in real life, and be safe from bullies. As an adult, I have innocently asked a stranger at a red light if he had the correct time, please, and he answered, "Yeah, it's time to get your fat ass......" and then drove away before I heard the rest. ...

So, as suspected (strongly!! !) but not formally diagnosed yet, am I welcome or not? Don't hold your breath. In addition to my daughter's ASD I'm also a self diagnosed AS. I find it the height of arrogance that I need to prove I'm an AS with a piece of paper from a health professional who will char...

I don't think so. There was a person who bullied me in First grade, though, and there was a girl in fourth grade who was teasing me (But I made her stop with the "My mom said if a girl is teasing me, that means she likes me." line, and she immediately went "ewwwww.... no!" and completely desisted, ...

You type 358 characters per minute
You have 65 correct words and
you have 3 wrong words

I'd like to go back to work eventually, so I want to practice and improve on that. And no, I didn't look at the keys. :)

Any time I make a mistake, it's usually because I reversed two letters.

I am a professionally trained secretary and type 65 words per minute. I can do gusts up to 80, but not as accurately, especially if my hands are cold. I don't even have to look at the keyboard to place my hands. I just feel for the raised dots at the f and j keys. Observing my husband, I notice he u...
