Wow. Now I remember why I check this site only occasionally. Guess ya really do have to be a 'squeaky wheel' or outright rude to get some interaction. Good luck to those wishing for it to be otherwise...

Hello, SerenaX3. 'Binary' refers to a system involving two and only two 'entities'; the 'system' contains entities that - whether theoretically or in actual reality - cannot 'exist' without the other. Both are contingent upon and informed by the other. An example of a binary system would be the beli...

May I say the best way to deal with such a loss is to actually DEAL with it? What I mean is, to not live via denial. Grief is often described as coming in waves -- It's like living through physical pain. The best way to 'deal' with it is to go ahead and let it wash over you (rather than fighting aga...

@lynn7465, thanks much for your post. I appreciate the offer of 'penpalling' and may take you up on it after my upcoming move... In the meantime, wanted to be sure you'd noticed the 'Regional Meetup' thread by lexicon. Also, I HAVE seen a couple of other WPers who I believe to be in Australia. Maybe...

Hi, all. Am looking for an older 'Aspie buddy' in the Marysville, CA area. This could also include residents in/near Chico, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Hope for a (platonic) friendship primarily of e-mails, with an occasional 'face-to-face'. Thanks!

Hi, all. Am looking for WPers who live roughly in the area of Marysville/Yuba City OR in the areas of Chico, Sacramento, or San Francisco who'd be willing to e-mail-buddy with a WPer not currently 'up' for posting in the general-community areas of Wrong Planet. Needs/preferences include 'older' adul...

I got VERY confused reading this thread. I'm hoping somebody can put it to me in plain language...Is the following correct?: Asperger's is AN autism but not the same autism that Autism is? And, is it considered 'exclusionary' to refer to Autistics/Auties as 'Aspies'...because the term 'Aspies' isn't...

Thanks for the clarifications. I'm glad to see it hadn't actually been misunderstood that 'those who don't like to talk' wasn't necessarily just a reference to some people's WHIMS. ... btw, it's too bad your unit cost so much. I've seen two different instances where 'pre-owneds' were offered for und...

Yet, lust without love/compassion IS what too many individuals do try to use for sustaining a relationship. Either they can't accurately define their own lust as lust (rather than as 'love) or they're unable to know the difference in the first place...and to know that long-term/life-term takes both:...

SoundOfRain: You can include me in...though I'm not sure I'd meet your needs/wants any better than if you were just posting in the 'common space'. PM me if you'd like. :) I just finished Final exams and have more time to receive/return messages.
