Sometimes it feels like that maybe there's a reason no one can ever convince me to re-frame my mind into thinking more positively or having complete focus on things I can control or whatever. Maybe that reason is that life is just that damn bad. I very much understand and can relate to feeling that...

As I suspected, 1 of my 2 friends has disappeared. I noticed that over the last 8 months she has cancelled our last 2 'coffee dates'. She said it was because her son was ill but I don't know if that is true. Then she kept saying 'we must meet for coffee, I'll check my shift rota.' She works in a co...

You mentioned that you recently went off Lexapro. Many people who go off Lexapro have what is called PSSD, or post SSRI sexual dysfunction. Perhaps this is true in your case. If this is so, eventually, it will go away.

I used to be more free and easy about telling people about my ASD diagnosis. However several of these people used it against me. So now I’m very very careful who I tell. There are a lot of people with ill intentions in this world these days.

You have every right to not have children if you don’t want to. I know that is stating the obvious. I tend to do that state the obvious. Anyway in our traditional culture from years ago that was the expected thing for a woman to get married and have children. A lot of the children from the situation...

Yes, I believe there is such a thing. I think it happened to me. I lost who I thought was a good friend when she moved away. After she moved, she became distant and unavailable. I made a new friend right away, but that friendship didn't work out either.

I definitely have had predator blindness. Not only am I ASD, but was born to a high level narcissistic mother. This is definitely a setup for being targeted by predators, since I also learned to become codependent in order to survive being a child of a mother like that. I have spent lots of time lea...

Yes I'm just going to distance myself from her. Not cut her off completely, but limit my time with her. I'm going through drug withdrawal (antidepressant) and my nervous system is very raw and sensitive from that. Thanks for the reply. That's the plan I would chose. I'm sorry about your antidepress...

I'm 58, and have AS or HFA. I have a friend named L who is older (83). At times, she says things that sound mean spirited. A long time ago, when I was having a bad day, she says "how can you have a bad day on a beautiful weather day like this, unless you are picking a fight with your husband?&q...

Well I confronted, again, (kindly but directly) one of the ladies who was bossy and disrespectful to me in in email, but got no reply. I'm 98% sure she got my email. I've shared my concerns with the group leader, and her idea was to confront her (for the second time). I've also spoken to another of ...

I love my 3 kitties! One of them is named Czar, hence my forum name. They are soft, and furry, and Czar is so loving and affectionate. My other 2 cats are more rowdy and spunky, and I love to watch them caper and run around.
