I feel helpless or sad and I scream and feel very exausted afterward. Oddly, I don't feel embarasd afterward, I just want to sleep. As teenager I would be laying on the floor kicking and screaming or crying. People have acted kindly toward me though, like bringing me a cup of tea. Not my family of o... |

I also have a bad memory and as a child never memorized history dates and facts, the times table, or anything that had to be memorized. My vocabulary is very poor and I forget the meanings of words I don't use often. My logical reasoning skills are very good and I can program a computer. But my verb... |

My father was a tool and die maker and kept a lot of tools at home. neighbors used to come to him if they needed something fixed. I used to play with his jars full of nuts and bolts and arange them into rows and patterns. Crows make tools. If they find some food that they can't reach, they search fo... |

I'm slow. I can't seem to get any thing done quickly because I space out thinking about things. My parents used to say I was slow. I seem to live half in the real world and half in my head. Even in grammer school some kids called me outer space. I lack stamina. I've never had the stamina to work qui... |

Echolallia is a subconsious repetition of something you've heard. I'm shure it's a reflex reaction and not intended to be an answer. Someone told me I do that but I wasn't aware of it. |

My mother used to slap my hands for stimming, but that didn't work. If I stop stimming it will start right up again. It's not consciously controlled. My meltdowns were emotional. |

I have an internal monologe but it is very repetitive. The same sentence, the same thought, going over and over again in my head until I move on to the next. I can see moving pictures in my head, but not still pictures. |

I'm sure they mean pathogenic variation or mutation in the coding sequence of any one of those genes could possibly lead to autism. |

Over 30 years ago I got caps on all my teeth except for a couple of back ones that had gold fillings because the dentist said I grind my teeth. They still serve me quite well after all these years. I would recomend that. I think caps and crowns are the same thing. |

I hate swearing. I don't swear. If I have meltdowns I scream. I have neighbors who swear. I can't look at them or talk to them. |

I would see a quiet, withdrawn child and not see anything wrong with her. We would both prefer no hugs and have ice cream instead. |
