Paleontology, city-planning, and medicine. They are all connected at some strange points so really I only have one giant disconnected special interest but it's hard to explain.

Ace but definitely not aro. I'm actively trying to find relationships, don't know where to look so I'm sort of stuck.

I'm a member of the dwindling population that really dislikes this whole mass connectivity, constantly looking at a device culture. I needed this list. I haven't known a single one of these terms but I am surrounded by people who use them. How does this even start?

No. This causes me chronic frustration. I go months with a really painful longing for something and I have no idea what it is, I just know I need something. Sometimes I can resolve the meaning after extensive introspection but it ruins the point of emotion. Doctors can't help. It's not depression, a...

Exact same situation here, word for word regarding our psychology. Our situation is different though. I am currently struggling with money, but still totally alone, doctors feel like they don't care and don't listen, family is exhausted with having to deal with me and I am unemployed and depressed, ...

When I started studying history and realized it felt more normal living back then as living today. It's like my brain has no "normal" setting, so I could technically feel at home in any situation, as normal as it gets at least, because I feel out of place anywhere and anytime.

Ironically misused the term. I found it funny sounding verbally but now that I think about it I was looking for mainstream, not old fashioned.

I have not heard “square” used to describe someone out of touch since about 1972 or so. I quess that makes you “square” :D :

To be fair, I am often the person I fear most no matter what term.

I'm currently having the same issue with finding anyone due to behavioral eccentricities. I am somewhat younger and my body is in a pretty good shape, and I am wasting it away online every day, not forming any worthwhile experiences or relationships in my isolation. I'm still hopeful though. There i...

It's a neurological difference because everyone is supposed to be different, at least in my country where we used to prefer individuality to groupthink. In an age where people are merely copies of each other and the only degree of individuality we have is our grander societal preference, Autism has ...

I'd prefer you to stay. Diagnosis does nothing except tell us we have issues and fits all of those issues into one label. Even without a diagnosis we have a lot more in common than we do with the wider world and this forum is invaluable.

Depends on the crowd usually. Though I used to enjoy alone time. When I was younger I could often go to places and there weren't any people. Now there are two or three groups of people every 20 yards, usually two or more. Hiking isn't doable for me anymore because of the amount of people. I'm not in...

Definitely easier as a kid. I still feel like a kid socializing with adults, even now that I am an adult. People are boring, lack depth, aggressive, impatient, and focused on a singular long term goal. The average hobby is being on a couch and staring at a boring show for hours and hours, sleep at 8...
