Hey guys, OP here, thank you so much for all the advice and support! :) It has helped me a lot to reduce my sense of alienation, and I have actually reached what I think may be a final resolution concerning the issue of my sexuality. I discussed some feelings I was having with a friend and she menti...

I'm a bit overweight, mostly due to a pretty rough time I went through several years back, in which I went from about 120 pounds to close to my present weight at around 169. (I'm 5'6). Was a very skinny child, but lost all that, hoping to lose it again one day.

Okay so to give some background about me, I'm 20 years old, female, in university, and on the spectrum. I also have GAD, (generalized anxiety disorder,) a learning disability which isn't really relevant here, and mild depression. Lately I've been facing a lot of confusion about my sexuality. After a...

Hi, this is the OP weighing in. I see a few people talking about having a thicker skin or not giving into trolls, and while I do agree to an extent, I think that they're missing the larger issue. I don't really get emotional about it either. When I say it makes me "mad" I don't mean the co...

Okay, has anybody noticed that recently, especially in Facebook discussions on large pages, people have been using Autism frequently as an insult to imply that a person is acting dumb? Lately I've seen it cropping up quite a bit, and it really makes me mad! Is it just me or is this becoming worse? D...

Ever since I was old enough to be held accountable for managing my own time, (towards the end of elementary school, I think,) I have had serious time-management issues. I am a very good student, and have always received mostly A's in my classes, yet continued to be the subject of many teacher's disd...

Look for things that naturally flow from your old interests maybe, like for example, I like anime, and it has led for me to a special interest in J-pop, Japanese culture, drawing manga, and Japanese language, which helped me to discover my interest for languages in general.

I would love it if my NT friends would be a bit more blunt about what they are thinking or feeling about me in a situation, both positive and negative. When they react in a way that is ambiguous to me, I'll spend an extended period of time worrying and stressing about whether or not I've done someth...
