Is anybody using the 3.5 Beta? I looked up the memory issues on the previous versions of Firefox and finally am updated to address such large memory usage when using multiple tabs. I've left the browser open for hours to find it's gone from 300MB down to 190MB. I'm liking this version so far...

Anyone else have any thoughts?

HTML5 tags?
First time I ran the beta, none of my add-ons would work, flashblock, ad-block, greasemonkey. Now they do, then I got the upgrade/update b99. When it's done, I shall switch to my other install of FF and update that.
There is the "new tab" buttons which I hate the location of, I can see myself hitting that when I don't need it.

Don't you mean 3.0.10 ;) The beta seems to be able to take the abuse I throw at it. Not really crashed since I started to use it. I once opened one too many tabs and ran out of memory. I do the same with the beta, and the memory management really gets to work. Consuming close to 750MB RAM any closer to 800MB and I would have forced it to close. I use Facebook alot and play games too, hence tabs, etc

The important ones work :) Flashblock and ad-block. What else do you need?

I'm currently using the last stable release of firefox, I'd rather have a stable browser than one prone to crashing left right in centre (hence why I don't use IE if I can, lol)

I am also used to have many tabs opened and noticed that Firefox uses a lot of memory and doesn't free it even when I close all tabs except one. One of my fellow worker, which is a Firefox specialist, told that this situation is caused by addons (and/or plugins?). I don't know the true reason but I hope that I would be solved. Keith, what do you know about this situation in Firefox 3.0 and 3.5?

Install the "nightly tester tools" add-on. It allows you to override "incompatible" add-ons and install them anyways. Usually, this works fine.

I use IE all the time, just like Orwell: To D/L Firefox.

I haven't been using the beta, but Hubby has, and he loves it. No complaints about the weird little new tab button location.
