Does any of you use or ever used Solaris ?

I tried to installed it on an old computer but I got problems with lan adapter, I'll maybe try again but in VMWare.

Is there any advantage over BSD and Linux ?

The only reason that I want to learn it is for future jobs.

Well, solaris is going out of style so it's probably not going to help you that much in getting a job.

I used it

It's GUI isn't very user friendly!

I have Solaris 10, however when I tried to install it, I got the CDE/text install routine that really didn't work too well.

Were you using the CDE Desktop/WM (Looks like a more refined MWM), or the Java Desktop (Looks somewhat like the WinXP desktop)?
