It's more than likely a bug, try searching it on google. Is your pc spyware free and did you install any add ons or active x controls?

Have you tried firefox? It's generally considered to be a much better and safer browser.

My Internet Explorer updated to 7.

I immediately got used to it, and in total so far, I've had - 3 crashes.

But the crashes are not frequent though, so it's working fiiine at the moment. :)

It hasn't crashed for me yet, but that's probably because I haven't used it for more than 30 seconds at a time. I hate IE 7.

I keep my security settings at something other than the default levels, so every time I try to open a website, IE 7 reminds me that my security settings aren't what they recommend. And there is no way to disable it. It makes me want to punch my monitor.

I've been using it for awhile now, the main thing I'd like everyone to consider is what exactly the point of having 2 browsers is? I will always use IE7 because windows comes with it, there is no real point using anything else. FireFox is great but it also is out of touch now that IE7 copied much of their implimentations. IE7 will work on Microsoft Update, FireFox won't, ActiveX sometimes requires IE7 to work, so alas FireFox bye bye :-(

IE7 threatened to make sure my computer was running a legitimate copy of WinXP. To that threat I say nay, I'll run firefox rather than let Microsoft get their foot further into the door.

That's why I use Safari :P

BTW: I'm developing a Safari on Windows browser, but it's far from complete.

You should develop IE 7 for Mac. That company from Redmond won't make IE 7 compatible with the Intel Macs, and I am trying to get my boss to switch platforms, but he can't since his accounting program, Quickbooks, is IE-based. I bet you would get a pretty good market for a Mac compatible IE 7.

And I love Safari! I am working on getting Tiger to run on my Dell, but I think I will just buy an iMac next semester and use my MacBook as a desktop, too.

After Updating to Internet Explorer 7 my computer started going very slowly and then stopping altogether. After switching everything off (it froze) and, eventually, running and anti-virus and a Malicious Software Removal Tool (from Microsoft) etc, it started working properly and i have had no problems with it, so far.

PC IE uses the Trident rendering engine
Mac IE uses the Tasman rendering engine.

Not really the same.

Well, you know more than I do, which isn't hard since I know absolutely nothing about programming. :) I just know that there is a market out there.

Here here. Firefox for me followed by Opera (on phone) and occasionally Netscape. I just wish there was a way I could run windowsupdate without IE.
