Converting ripped movies from DVD

Hmmm, can anyone suggest any good programs (preferably freeware or very inexpensive shareware) that can be used for converting the ripped movies from a DVD? I've got DVD Decrypter for getting the VOB, BUP and IFO files from the disc, but how can I convert these into an MP4, AVI, WMV or something similar?

Thanks, wasn't aware of the term "transcoder".

Have just found an interesting-looking one called MediaCoder, hopefully that'll be sufficient.
Am trying to put some of my DVD collection on my Zen player you see.
