My Sims 3 game has been crashing quite often lately. To correct it I decided that I should uninstall then reinstall the basic game and after that all the expansion and stuff packs one at a time.

Before I went to remove the expansion packs I did delete the base game and then reinstalled it. Because I had trouble uninstalling one of the expansion packs the easy way I deleted it manually. The instructions I have from Electronic Arts indicates that I need to make changes in the registry. The registry doesn't list anything from Electronic Arts. The combined total of stuff packs, expansion packs and the base game is 16. It does seem strange that the same error could occur that many times.

Why isn't there any part of the game appearing in the registry? If I didn't reinstall the base game I would immediately think that if I were to uninstall and reinstall everything then all of it would appear.

What could be the cause for the problems I have been having? Is there a solution that I could handle or is this a problem that needs professional help?

Open Regedit. It should be under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Electronic Arts\.

Thanks Kurgan for your help. The game has been deleted.
