Hello

I really enjoy mechanical drawing using AutoCAD and Inventor....also enjoy drawing traditionally with manual drafting equipment. But I am looking for some great websites that have mechanical drawings...detail with dimensions that i can download as I would like more objects to draw. :D

I took AutoCAD in high school. As far as websites, I don't know of any right now, but I would probably do a Google search.

teach yourself blender - if all your after is 'drawing' ---I find it frustrating, it seems to be oreinteted toward the artist ... but with a bit of Pythin scripting and plenty of time you could get an interesting CAD system out of it?

or you could model mechanicals like in the movies Jin-Roh, Ghost in the shell, Akira, I-Robot, etc.
just some ideas :P

dman, I think I'll fire up 3ds max and model something from that!
