what do you linux geeks think about sabayon linux??
im running the live DVD now, but it does not seem thats table. i can make KDE crash easily and i can move windows past the top of the screen so i cant move them again. also when i right-click in the task bar and click things like "move" they dont work right.
also for some reason i cant put my screen res above 1024x768 and it will not tell me why. i have a nvidia geforce graphics card and it does see it no prob.
but i do like the cube desktop thing, and the wobbly windows and all that :D
im a linux n00b and have yet to figure out how to get my TV out to work, or my Media Center keyboard and remote to work, any tips on that would be great.
i have experimented with linux off and on before, but always ended up going back to windows...

Without going too deeply into it, I had a problem when I upgraded my Ubuntu, in that it suddenly reverted the default monitor to a max of 1024x768.

I eventually dug out the specs for my monitor, and plugged the figures in by hand.

This involves editing the file "/etc/X11/xorg.conf".

Essentially, in the "Monitor" section, I added the two lines:

Code:
        HorizSync    30.0 - 70.0
        VertRefresh  50.0 - 120.0
That got me back to having a 1280x1024 display. I have an ancient GeForce 2 and a nasty Packard Bell A720 monitor.
