I wish to set up a website for free with no restrictions or anything like that, and officially publish it.

The purpose of it is...well basically look at this link:

www.myspace.com/ADTV

I don't want to give TOO much away as because this website gets seeded, someone might steal my idea etc.

Still, I'm saving my money up for a camcorder so er...help?

Your not going to get any decent website for free unless you have connections to people who have the resources already.

If you have a spare computer, you could set up a web server using Apache. Apache was developed for use on Linux, but is available for Mac OS X and W|n|)0wz.

You can find more information at www.apache.org

Using a home computer is not good for production purposes, maybe development. It is also angaisnt most Internet Service Providers Terms of Service.

I guess it depends on the computer. I have a fairly high-end PC that functions well as a web server. Also, with many ISPs (at least in my area), it is only against the terms of service for enterprise use.

Bah, its not the computer, its the connection. Residential connections to the internet arent extremley stable or reliable (Even broadband). You can spend $10 a month a rent space on a server - much easier in the long run.

Hang on... it all depends on what sort of look and feel you want and how much data.

Consider as a starting point....

Google Pages
or
Blogger

Google Pages is better for a web site but these days, blogs are more effective.

You can link both apps together to get the best of both.

Eventually, you'll have to consider a domain name which will cost you a little. Of course, if you choose a good blogger name, you might not need to.

Ah right. Thankyou for all the advice. :)

I already have a blogger page:

I'll make another one. :)
