Change aspect ratio of streaming video?

There's this wonderful site I go to - Kino.to - to watch movies and TV episodes as streaming video. Unfortunately, a lot of these have a wrong aspect ratio, making the actors look like stick-figures. Is there any way to change the aspect ratio of a streaming video in your browser? (I have both Internet Explorer and Firefox.) I haven't been able to find anything on the Internet about it - either it's impossible, or it's so childishly simple that no-one's bothered to explain it...
