I've got to say... I love the character of Niles. For all his foibles, I'd have run off with him in a heart beat. I can't believe it took Daphne so long!

I've always loved Niles. He reminds me of the French actor Tati. Did you ever see Mr. Hulot's Holiday?

Yes! I loved it... there must be something wrong with me, one Christmas when my son was five we sat and watched it together, and I don't know who laughed more.

What I like most about the Niles character is the combination of the physical comedy (which comes across so well in this video) and the sheer timing and genius of his spoken dialogue. (For example... Frasier:Do you know what this means? Niles: Yes... the Cranes from Main have got your living brain.)

It actually makes me feel quite good that so many NTs seem to fancy the character of Niles as well! (Oh... I'm pretty sure he's aspie!)

LMAO, I haven't seen that episode. Niles is so awesome. My favorite episode is the one where he thinks he's high. XD XD
My room mate loves him too.. well, she loves the actor because she watches a lot of animated movies and he does a lot of voices. He's a really funny voice actor.
But naw, I don't think Niles has AS. A lot of TV characters seem to come across like that, and I think it's because all TV characters have exaggerated personalities, but when they're really intended to have AS, THAT'S exaggerated too, haven't you noticed? So for a TV character, he's within the range of NT, lol.
