Nightmare Before Christmas is great. I especially loved it when I was a child.

My favorite movie is of course the 2010 Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland. I am absolutely in love with Alice and the Mad Hatter!

Comedy:

The Life of Brian

Science-fiction:

The Matrix

Fantasy:

The Lord of the Rings trilogy

Horror:

Let the Right One In

Hmmm, hard choice. But I would say "Unbreakable" by Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
---
I thought it was only one choice, so let me put them in order. :D

Comedy :
A dog's breakfast.

Sci-fi:
Lost in Space. (1998 film)
Galaxy Quest.

Western:
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

And that's it for now.

I thought separating them be genre was a good idea, til I tried it. Mine are nearly all drama/slightly arthouse.

So I'll just pick one: Stranger Than Fiction.

That was really the best movie of Will Ferrell. Nice choice.
