I thought separating them be genre was a good idea, til I tried it. Mine are nearly all drama/slightly arthouse.

So I'll just pick one: Stranger Than Fiction.

That was an excellent movie. Best line from Dustin Hoffman: "Little did he know.... . I once wrote a paper on Little Did He Know"

This one's an easy one for me. My favorite movie is simply Batman Begins. Yes, I still like it more than The Dark Knight.

I'm not sure it's possible to choose one favorite. The moment I type one out, I'll think that perhaps it's not that, but another equally good film, or that I like that movie but only for certain seasons. For example, my favorite Halloween movies:

The Abominable Dr. Phibes
Arsenic and Old Lace
Death Takes a Holiiday
The Uninvited

Yeah, I settle for creepy, not necessarily gory. Or my favorite Christmas movies:

A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart)
Scrooged
It's a Wonderful Life
Elf

My favorite mushy movies:

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
Some Kind of Wonderful
The Shop Around the Corner
Love Affair (with Irene Dunn)
Spiderman II (yes, really)
A Room with a View

Or action movies:

Spiderman II (well, after all...)
The Fifth Element

Science Fiction:

Galaxy Quest
Star Trek (the new one)
The Last Starfighter

Comedy:

Monkey Business
Animal Crackers
The Cocoanuts
Horse Feathers
The Great Dictator
The General
Our Hospitality
Dr. Jack
The Freshman (Harold Lloyd)
The Navigator
You Can't Take It with You
Mr Deeds Goes to Town
Road to Singapore
Road to Zanzibar
Road to El Dorado
Drunken Master
Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Holiday
Bringing Up Baby
Vivacious Lady
and the list goes on...

Plus the just plain wonderful movies... Some of which I have already mentioned:

Spirited Away
My Neighbor Totoro
Howl's Moving Castle
Big Fish
Coraline
How to Train Your Dragon
Enchanted April
And the list also goes on but my head hurts.
