Has anyone ever thought that lately there has been a fad with characters with ASD?

Also, has anyone ever got the impression that Homer Simpson might be an Aspie with subnormal intelligence?

Oh I know I just mentioned him since I've always got a faint impression.

I think that Ferb from Phineas & Ferb is also a possibility.

I always got a feeling about her. At first I thought she was a boy

Tina: "I have an announcement ! !!, my bra is chafing me"
Bob: "That's not really an announcement, [...] stop taking my thunder"

XD

I have got the impression about Homer Simpson for a while and he is none of those things nor Takashi Yamazaki from CCS

Well awkwardness yes but the point remains

Hank Hill.
Obsessed about propane.
Extremely rigid and routine orientated.
Appears to care more about things than his family.
