Crazy. I was looking for the George A. Romero one, but I got this remake instead.

The Assassination Of Trotsky (1972)

Has a high-powered director (Joseph Losey) and a talented cast, including Richard Burton (as Trotsky), Alain Delon and Romy Schneider, but frankly a pretty lifeless effort. Apparently it sticks very closely to the facts, and thus is probably over-literal at the expense of artistic creativity. There's a very upsetting scene portraying a bullfight, which made me reluctant to complete my viewing of this film.

I've seen that movie, and way back in my college days, I had written a paper on the subject. I agree with everything you had written. Missing was how Trotsky's killer, Mercader, had had an obsessive relationship with his mother, a fanatical agent for the Russians, who had caused her son to join the assassination plot, only to ultimately realize that her's was an evil cause long after it was too late. The movie, I think, would have had a much more powerful impact had this facet been explored.

From Beyond The Grave.

Early seventies horror anthology movie made by Amicus (often mistaken for Hammer), centering around an antiques store, where characters are tempted to steal something from, then get punished through horrific, supernatural means. Actors include Peter Cushing, David Warner, and Donald Pleasance. Not too bad for a cheaply made movie.

Put it this way: I got Hellraiser 3 through 8 on a DVD set for five bucks, and I got what I paid for.

Better than the previous one, though.
