Hey! I've read things on Wrong Planet here and there in the past, both when looking up stuff about social anxiety the past few years and more recently while researching autism, always meant to join sometime, and figured I finally would.

I'm 24, a ciswoman, from the midwest US. I've struggled with mental illness most of my life (anxiety, depression, severe social anxiety, possibly bipolar 2) and never really felt I had a whole explanation. I finally realized and started suspecting I might be autistic probably about 2 years ago, started researching like crazy, and was recently diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and very likely autism of some sort. I say "very likely" because the whole assessment with the psychologist I've been seeing for a while has been a bit of a mess, and he didn't seem to ever want to give me an actual yes or no until giving a sort of unclear "yes" at my last appointment. It does run in my family and I've been pretty certain and basically self diagnosed for a bit, so either way I guess, haha.

So yeah, I'll leave this pretty short but just thought I'd introduce myself.
