Hello everyone. I am a 23 year old (self diagnosed) female aspie who is very new to aspergers in general.I just recently discovered it after hearing the word in an Abraham Lincoln bio... I had never heard this term so I googled it and I immediately recognized many if not most of my traits.Since then I have spent every available second reading about aspergers, the more I read the more I'm sure that I am an aspie girl through and through. I intend to seek a professional diagnosis but right now I am trusting my own opinion. It has all kind of blown my mind but has been comforting in a way I can't explain. I am ready begin digging up the me that I have unconsciously buried beneath a million failed attempts to be "normal". :ninja:
I have been creeping on this forum for a bit now 8O
But I am excited to finally join in and get to know all of you :D

Hi Anna. It all gets easier with time! Burrowing into yourself will show you that "they" were all wrong to force the NT world on you! The constant "faking" we need to do to function there is a pain and the confusion it caused to my identity has taken me years to undo! Still, this website and its members are a great resource to help you realise that "you are not alone!" I spend a lot of time just reading others' responses here and it helps quieten my fearful brain at the times I need it! Enjoy!
