Just noticed that the link to Wrong Planet from Google no longer defaults to https. I'm pretty sure this wasn't always the case. I had to enter the address manually specifying https and it appears to now be secure.

WP is https when i access the site from my bookmarks or saved search results.

when i enter the forums "externally", from google, it doesn't show the https, no. but i admit, i do not recall ever using the latter method regularly so i cannot remember if it has always been that way or not....

I use the HTTPS Everywhere addon for Firefox, and it lists wrongplanet.net as "Broken MCB, partial", so it actually just accesses it through HTTP for me.

The problem with forums and https is people post contented which is not https anyway such as images. So you will likely get mixed content errors.

I thought I had that extension enabled for Chrome, but now that I look, it doesn't seem to be working.

I've always just entered the words in the address bar on my browser (FF) and it throws up a search where the site is on top of the list and I just click on it. Perhaps with a change in FF version as the browser updates itself automatically something has changed. I'm now entering the address manually as a HTTPS. I don't care that people could eavesdrop on what I do here but are conscious of putting my password details in while the link is in the clear.

I'm not sure if this is related but I was logging in after WP froze or was down & there was a message undereneath where I was typing my SN & password that said it wasn't secure.

I had to save my bookmark specifically as this:

https://wrongplanet.net/

Otherwise it defaults to http.
