Friend/Foe Options?

What do the "Add Friend" and "Add Foe" buttons do when you view someone else's profile? Will clicking Foe make it so they can't comment on your threads or something? I'm genuinely curious.

I remember reading a post a while back and I think it does bugger all except when you compose a reply , I think then it hides your foes posts ?

I just added you as a foe and I can still read your posts except when I try to compose a message then your posts say this "This post was made by ThisAdamGuy who is currently on your ignore list. Display this post."

^ Yes, that's about it for "foes"; in particular, it doesn't stop them from being able to send you a PM. "Friends" are just added to a list so that, in your profile page, you can see if they are logged in and get quick access to their username when creating a new PM.
