Choosing the right education path

Any advice on what education path to choose? My special interest lies in art and philosophy, but the subjects I understand best and think in are maths and science related. Wrote to York and OCAD about that and sent them one of my mathematical artworks, but they kind of let me know that I've got to choose between them. I think it would also be helpful if people posted their higher education experience
