I've been on pins and needles over the last assignment I turned in for my professor. It said we hadto have at least three paragraphs and should use some secondary sources. I did the entire assignment in 30 minutes while I was half asleep. The end result was just over two pages but I felt that I used to many quotes and didn't fully answer all aspects of the question.

So of course I was paranoid that I wouldn't get full credit for it. Added to that this is the final course I need to get an A to graduate with a 4.0 in my master's program. - I won't get a letter grade for my research project (like a thesis).

I've been thinking how not putting any effort into this assignment might have just shot my perfect college career. But I just received the professor's feedback and she's hugely impressed by how wellthought out my response was. I'm top of the class once again. I should have known. One of my reasons for going back for a master degree was that I missed writing research papers. (I know..I'm definately a college geek)

Papers for me depended on hom much citation I needed to provide. If the expected me to cite every tiny fact, I'd get a C because I already knew too much about the topic to realize what needed a citation and work from memory. If they expected prior knowledge with citations for depth, I was golden. I'd work way deeper than expected and often come to new conclusions with the material. I could see myself working in research, but there's rarely any money in it.

Go with it.

One of the reasons my job is good is that nobody around me really understands what I do, yet I find it easy and somewhat fun. That's a great position to be in.

Congrats on possibly having gotten through your Master's program with a perfect GPA! Not many people can do that.

yeah, my advisor has been telling me that nonstop since she discovered I'm listed on wikipedia as one of the schools undergrad valedictorians.

I have yet to have a difficult college course. Now, high school was a different story - I was lucky to get a 3.0 then. My university is going to improve standards by raising the required SAT score to 1080 for next year, which I find quite humourous as I only scored a 1060 on the SATS. They are in effect saying I'm not smart enough to go there when I'll probably be getting a second degree from them with a 4.0 GPA/QPA :D
