Here it is in plain black and white direct English, the way NTs think in job interviews.

By the way, I love this site, it tells the brutal truth.

And for the record, it has nothing to do with work skills and abilities. It's all brutal social,marketing and presentation skills.

I memorized these same interview pointers years ago, and continued to use them in some form every job interview. I have been able to get jobs, alright, it's keeping them that is the real problem

I've seen similar preparatory guidelines over many years. They have not worked for me at all, because the nonverbal communication that NTs unconsciously place so much emphasis on is not something I can generate or reciprocate.

Further, what this site doesn't mention is that most interviewers decide (unconsciously or otherwise) within the first two minutes at most whether or not you are going to pass the interview. The remainder of the time is spent verifying that decision. The first impression is absolutely vital, and everything else is trivial by comparison, assuming no major mistakes are made.

That's precisely what goes wrong for me. As much as I say that I'm interested in the job (usually truthfully), my body says "I'm not interested."

One of my job hunting lists sent me a recommendation to ask at the end of the interview something along the lines of "Why do you not think I'm your ideal candidate?" I think I'd phrase it differently, like, "Is there any reason that you wouldn't hire me?", because perfect candidates just don't exist. Maybe I'm just being Aspie there. I'll see what happens next time.

Iam not sure if you really should go for standard answer from the internet, i mean any person doing interviews more or less professional will have read them too.

Being nerdy and somekind of obsessed can be kind of plus point in many technical professions because of the asociated stereotypes.
