I felt I screwed up a good interview.

First off, I have told my interviewer (who would be my prospective boss) that among the reasons I left my previous company was that because I was treated there like a pro. I felt he took it as if I was badmouthing my previous company. Assuming that, I decided to save my own ass, and reiterated that I was paid well, and treated with respect, although the work was kind of overwhelming (which really is, but I did not bother to tell that). What do you think, kids? Did I just screw up a good opportunity?

I mean, I did not mean to badmouth my previous company by saying that. I was just saying it literally, and it was all in good faith.

What do you mean by pro?

About the work, saying that you were overwhelmed by the work might have been a thing. I wouldn't have said it personally even though it's the truth because they could link the two sentences in their heads. I might have said it later if it was relevent to the job that would be being done for them though.

Though I'd say wait and see, they could have been glad of your honesty and don't stress yourself if you can help it until you know about the job

I don't understand what you meant by PRO but it sounds like your correction made things worse.

When you're asked why you're leaving your job, you need to talk about career progression - not about your previous job.

If you're moving to a larger company, say that you liked your job but there weren't enough openings for good career progression.

If you're moving to a smaller company, say that you felt that being in such a big company led you to become too specialised and you'd like to do a variety of things - opportunities for which occur in smaller companies.

If the companies are the same size, talk about broadening your horizons and trying different things.

Hello guys, thanks for the heads-up.

I meant "pro" in this context: I am a graphic designer, and although I've been so for the past four years, it has just been a hobby (to be honest). So I can't say I'm that experienced in terms of work in the real world. Plus, I'm a beginner at Web design. My previous company specialized in Web design (which broke my expectations, since I specialize in print and video design), and they treat me like a veteran designer (despite me being a noob). So there.

My previous company is an MMO game-servicing company widely known in the US and unknown in the Philippines, whereas the company I'm applying with is a big cosmetics company in my country.
