Anyone work as an RN on here?
Anyone work as RN? I have few questions. The unit supervisor told me I needed to work on my communication and making more eye contact with the patients. So I made it a point to always make eye contact and explain all the medications, but after speaking with the unit supervisor again she said it was still hard. I swear I have been making it a point to make eye contact with my patients when explaining the meds and/or any procedures that are going to take place. My question is any tips?. Aslo, anyone find they have a hard time with conflict. For example, I had to DC a patient and after she got all pissed, I had to get my charge nurse to come talk to her because I was too uncomfortable telling her "too bad, you can't stay here this is not a resort." Which is what my charge told her, which is what I wish I had the courage to do at times.
