I wish I could just shrug this off...
Sounds to me like they had complaints from other parents - which they're not allowed to tell you about - and that's what brought about the sudden change of attitude.
The caregivers themselves might love your little boy, but if another parent or two start to complain about their childs' treatment then they have to come up with a solution.
Ask yourself this; does your son LIKE going to this daycare? If he does, then do what you can to keep him there. Stability is important and you don't want to get into the habit of pulling him out of programs at the first sign of trouble. Because there's always trouble.
If he hates it there, then look for another nursery that already has programs in place for special needs kids.
