I ordered in OCTOBER from these people, and still have not received a thing except a billing on my statement (also in October). I could have ordered the same DVD on eBay and had it in my hands WEEKS ago.

Just a heads-up to anyone who plans on using Signing Time DVDs or materials. Buy on eBay, NOT from Signing Time. Here I thought I could be utilizing the DVD while waiting on speech therapy to get coordinated. HA! I've been learning from online dictionaries and teaching my kids. For free, might I add. I think the first thing I'm going to do when it arrives is send it right back. I'm quite irritated about this. I'm an Aspie. I HATE it when people don't do their job and things don't go the way they should. I had an eBay store for several years. If I had done this to a customer, I'd have gotten some very negative feedback.

Hi, I rarely order from an original source company online. You could have ordered from Amazon.com. I don't know what you paid for dvd. But Amazon has pretty good prices.

I'm with you send it back with a complaint and demand a refund.
Last year when ordering my textbooks one of them I ordered form a different company form the others because they had that one in stock the while the site where my other books can from had a backorder list. I orderd well before the semester started ans was told nine to twelve busness days. My book didn't come till about a third of the semester was over, I emailed them twice and they said three buisness days which were lies. I was beyond angry and am lucky that my professor placed a copy of the textbook on reserve in the library. I understand what you went through.

Call your credit card company.

They are not allowed by agreement with the merchant bank services to bill your card until the order has been shipped.

My feeling is that they're probably just a sloppy with Amazon.

Credit card companies are pretty strict with merchants about stuff like this. A call to your "card services" number (back of your credit card) should do the trick.

Okay, because of the title I gave this thread, I had to follow up. The company's shipping practices suck - but once I got the DVDs (a MONTH after I ordered them) they've done wonders getting my mostly non-verbal son to communicate! I think he had given up prior to having an alternative means of communication. Now, not only is he learning signs, he is beginning to want to use words! He's trying new ones on a fairly regular basis now - though it does require really working with him a lot. He's now saying several new words in the couple weeks since we've had the DVDs, and using some words regularly, which is HUGE for us! For his age, 50 words is about normal, and he's now up to about 15 and developing new ones all the time!

So, Signing Time is AWESOME! Their shipping bites.
I recommend you order from Amazon or eBay. I ordered Volume 2 through eBay and had it from one side of the country to the other in 4 days.
