too pricy for a marginal benefit IMO.
VR/rift/whatever has its benefits, but mainly in building/ship design, where you can "walk" around inside of a digital mock-up. For gaming, it's not worth the money (yet).
I might consider getting one if the price drops and there is more content that make good use of the tech. for now (like with 3d movies), the tech is just shoe-horned into existing regular content, for no real benefit.

I'd suggest waiting till there is 3'rd party products that flood the marked with cheap, compatible VR hardware.
I got a DK2 myself and there are few things that give a good feeling or has a use. Only really cool thing i've played that keeps me playing more is "AirDrift" - the flight feeling is awesome and i feel as free as a bird.
There are some issues with VR today - that has been around and never gotten addressed until recently, i found that motion sickness are related to:
1. Low FPS. 2. Viewbobbing/Headbobbing. 3. Camera cutscenes where the computer controls the players viewpoint which conflicts with head movement.
These things has to become a thing of the past or VR won't make it this time either, regardless of pricing.
