I wonder, why does it have Super C and not Contra? Super C isn't nearly as fun. Also, if they were able to license Final Fantasy, why couldn't they do one of the Dragon Quest games? They're owned by the same company now.

I am so wanting this one when it comes in November!! So many gems there. I used to have Excitebike but I lost it when I stupidly let a classmate borrow it. There are also titles in that 30 game collection I never had but wanted, like Star Tropics, Ice climber and Ninja Gaiden.
I also find it awesome that they have made it look like the good old NES, only smaller. I only wish they had added Snake Rattle n Roll, and at least one TMNT title.
I agree with mr_bigmouth_502 that it could have had some more titles, but still worth it. Really looking forward to it.

I honestly think they picked many of the games at random.

30 is a nice number, but honestly they could've added more. I'm hoping for a second NES mini with original Mega Man, original Double Dragon, Contra, etc. I do prefer my physical copies but I would gladly buy collections since they are officially licensed. All those retro duo/trio (and so on) systems are knockoffs and don't play everything well- sometimes close to perfect but never 100 percent though.

I read that NES mini is a top pre-order in games already for Europe at least! That's a good sign, so I'm hoping it shows Nintendo that people want physical copies of retro again. I still have hope for a Mario collection- 1-3, World, Mario Land games, RPG, etc.

^ 30 is a nice number of games, but 50 would have been better, IMO. But that's just me.

I'm glad Nintendo's getting a lot of good press from this announcement. With that said, I'll still probably pass on it. I already have all the games it offers and my Retron 5 takes care of my HDMI needs. Still, it's pretty impressive for a plug-and-play system.

I swear, the modding community is gonna have a lot of fun with this new, tiny version of the NES.

I would like to see this done with the Super Nintendo. Mine is getting old, and it would be nice if all the top titles were on a new version of the SNES like this new NES. I don't like playing virtual console games on the Wii or the Wii U. You can't go straight to the game. You always have to use either a Wii remote or a Wii U game pad.

My SNES favourites would be: Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3 (SoM 2), Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Final Fantasy VI, Super Mario All Stars including Super Mario World, Mario Paint, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Mario RPG.

Yeah, that would be nice, and I would love to see one with Gameboy games.

A "PokeMon" one with all the GameBoy, GameBoy Colour, and GameBoy Advance titles would be nice.

^ Sign me up!! That would be a dream come true.
I wonder what it would look like? Like one of the Gameboys? Like Pikachu or a Pokemon egg?

That makes me think of a GameBoy case I used to have. It was a large case in the shape of a GameBoy.

A PokeDex maybe?

Now that I think about it, I wonder if this would be a good gift for my 10 year old sister, she isn't much of a gamer but I gave her an old hacked PSP and she loves it. Though she never buys games or consoles with her allowance even when I point out that she can when she has enough money. She enjoyed playing on my Wii when I was down at my parents house recently and she does enjoy older games on her PSP so an old NES might get her excited about TV based consoles. I would try and get her into computers but she seems most disinterested so I'll settle with a sister who is a casual console gamer cause that looks like what I am going to get.

She loves Mario, I think I could make this work.

Yes, A PokeDex would make perfect sense for such a machine! :D

^ I too am very interested in acquiring one when it is released. I wish there had been even more games on it, but a console like that is so neat :)
