I doubt MW2 is good, haven't tried it yet though. I'm more an ArmA 2 and Steel Beasts and DCS person.

Out of curiosity you guys who mentioned SB, you guys play gold or Pro PE? If you guys play Pro PE maybe we should get together on the main TS some time and play a few missions.

I'm running Pro PE. Multiplayer sometime sounds cool.

I like Modern Warfare 2 but the single player campaign is WAY too short. I am talking less than 5 hours long and I already beat it. I have the PC version and am disappointed in the multiplayer as well. The lack of dedicated servers is absolute crap. Half the time since you have no freedom at all, the game has a hard time finding a good server and when you do, it lags like hell. $60 for less content is stupid. Having said that I still can't live without the game even though there has been stupidity go along with it. I pray in Modern Warfare 3 (this will probably come out in 2011) they listen to the gamers in what they want.

Combat Mission : Shock Force; it's probably the most realistic (which is not to say realistic) simulator of modern warfare. Very interesting if you want to find out the relative strengths of modern equipment (which I do).

(when it was first released, it was terrible, but it has been enthusiastically patched and very greatly improved since then)

There's a demo on the website.

Reasons why I'm not getting MW2:

1. No dedicated servers
2. 18 player mp limit
3. Forced installation of Steam
4. Possibility of having to pay for DLC
5. Ridiculous price ($60?!)
6. Short single player

I've decided to move on to other games. I recently bought Crysis and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, and will finally be able to play them once I get home next week.

Your parents let you play MW2? They do know its "Rated M for Mature" right?

This isn't the first time I've seen you whine about this on this board. (I believe to the same user if memory serves) It is not your place to tell others what games they can and cannot play, that's for the parents to decide. Ugh.

Yeah it sucks for pc players, I guess. Everything on the 360 has been mint after day one. The first day was laggy, but afterwards it has been great. Still, if you play in the early hours of the morning you're sure to run into some people in AUS or Japan that have bad yellow bar connections. OVerall this game gets a 9 out of 10 for me.

Yeah! Who needs 'em when you have Solitaire and Minesweeper! I mean Minesweeper alone is sooo good they made it into a movie!

I don't think that was me. And I'm not telling anyone anything. I'm only asking for a confirmation. There's nothing wrong with that. Right?

Sorry, I was in a bitchy mood when I wrote that. I do believe it's up to the parents but it's not that big of a deal.

No problem. Happens to all of us. I agree. Parents can make those decision.

And you're 11? Sheesh...

The real problem is that the Call of Duty games are just bad, not that he's a minor. Any real damage will come in the form of his expectations of any future games he will play; console-style gameplay like being shot and just having to wait a few seconds for it to magically heal is detrimental and it will breed a new generation of idiot gamers.
