It's Game Master. That said, what kind of game? I've played World of Darkness before, never GM'ed but I've played 4 or so characters across three classes (2 vampires, a changeling, and a mage)

For WoD there's more to being the GM than that. The GM is the one that comes up with the settings, plot, and NPC's. So in other words it's like you're telling a story, except that the player characters can act and think on their own and you have to adapt your story to their actions. The result is quite interesting, believe it or not. I've been trying to adapt a novelization of our current Vampire: The Requiem campaign just because the resulting plot between our characters and the story that Dani (our GM) has told has been so intricate and detailed. I'm going to miss having her GM games because she's graduating at the end of the semester and moving out. She's given all of the rulebooks to my girlfriend Trish as a parting gift, I think Trish and I will try to get others to join our game session and we will be Game Masters for those.
But yeah, WoD doesn't have a board, and focuses less on battles and more on intrigue. Your character has abilities that they can use, and the success of these abilities rides on rolling d10's. The higher your rank in a given ability, the more d10's you roll at one time, and your success is determined by the number of dice that land on a certain range (usually 8, 9, and 0). Some of the campaigns I've been in have been different as far as battles go. The two that Dani have lead have had very few battle scenes, but the other two lead by my friends Shinta and Susan have had multiple opportunities for combat. It really depends on the GM's storytelling style.

I can admit to being a noob when it comes to tabletop gaming, so I actually didn't know the GM had to juggle all of that.

My regular group plays almost everything in d10 with a WoD template. (Not that we roll that many dice--most of the game play is narrative.)
The system is incredibly flexible. We have played some straight up Vampire (I've run one set in Ancient Rome), Mage, and Geist, but we have also done some interesting departures. We ran one game set in Renaissance Florence, that later fed into a contemporary Vampire/Mage game. We've played a superhero game, we've played a few sci-fi settings. We're currently playing in a game in which each of the characters is an Olympian demigod (very "Percy Jackson" inspired).
Almost every new game we start begins with the storyteller telling the players, "just build a basic WoD character."
WoD is a great system for creative storytellers and players to put on top of any setting--and the specific settings like Vampire, Mage, Changeling, Werewolf, Geist and Promethean call all give lots of opportunity to look at ways to incorporate supernatural/fantastic abilities.

Where do you guys play? Over IRC?
Its a shame you dont like D&D. Ive been looking to try DMing but im unfamiliar with most systems other than DnD3.5/4e and Mouse Guard.
If you have space i'd be interested in joining your group as a player. Im novice though with only a few sessions under my belt.
