I never gave this series any thought. Until Friday when I played the demo of DW NEXT and fell in love with it and went right out and impulse bought it. Now I see that there is DW 8 coming out and am considering purchasing it, but there are thing I really like about Next that I'm not sure a non touch screen console would have. I want to know how the regular DW's play. I mean obviously its all controller, but is it strategy since you dont have the touch motions or button mashing (not a put down, I enjoy this game way more than I thought I would). Do the regular DW's have the ambush, defend, chases and duels mini games?
One thing I was really hoping for after playing NEXT was multiplayer in 8, but I searched and it seems all it has is coop in story mode? It would be awesome to actually duel a player instead of dueling their ghost like in NEXT and it would also be cool to fight against another player and try to take their base. Are there any other games like this that have these options? I think there are spin offs like Gundam and what not?
