Dude, I can't even imagine how bad a game would be if it was based around having Asperger's Syndrome. Think about it.

You know how in The Sims, if you don't turn off "Free Will" then the Sims make horrible social decisions? An AS game would be like that...except you couldn't turn off "Free Will" mode. XD

Seriously, though. Imagine if there was a decent game with a protagonist who had Asperger's. A game that didn't have it be its central gameplay gimmick, but rather have it as a theme, with the character having it, and having to rise up to save the world even though the only way to do that would be to face the very difficulties that his disability entails?

Hmm. I'm not sure how that'd work. Any thoughts?

I don't see why Free Will in the Sims games inherently leads to disaster. What does that say about the programmers, for God's sake?

Aspies, I do not think it is solely up tp us to save the world. I think "saving the world" would entail the whole human race pitching in to do his / her part.

And if the Sims characters are just functions of gameplay, what's the point of having them create civilizations? If the Sims characters make bad choices when left to their own devices, maybe you should talk to the programmers.

His social power up is Straterra. Or that could be his Krypton depending on the person.

How about a theme where evil aliens threaten to take over the world but can't understand human verbal language, only body gestures and facial expressions. Thus aspies appear unreadable and are therefore the only people who can decieve them and ultimately save humankind... :P (possible attack modes could include 'trip over', 'fall over' and 'accidently knock over with elbow' to symbolise poor hand-eye coordination...)

Or if it was a game to help people with As understand other people's expressions, maybe the plot could centre around having to learn to read 'between the lines' to decipher what's going on in the game...
