xbox360 charger kit problems

i have and xbox 360 charger kit and when i plug it into charge the light flashes green for less then a second then goes off completely i know it isn't charging the battery is near dead can any one help

Newer or older battery? I have a couple newer batteries that seem a hair larger than the originals. They don't always fit well into the charger and sometimes you have to push hard to get them to snap in.

its the battery the came with the charger kit

I had a similar problem where the charger flashed red then green. When I switched the battery to the other side of the charger it fixed itself. Does your charger have 2 battery slots? If so try the other slot.

Is it the Play and Charge kit or the Quick Charge kit?

the box says battery pack and chargeable link cable

I'm having problems my quick charge kit. I only get the green light... and a few minutes battery life :(
