Did anyone see the History Channel special last night at 9pm about Real Face of Jesus?
Has the skull of Jesus been found? If no, there is no way of reconstructing his face. No image was ever made of Jesus and the Shroud of Turin has been dated back to the middle ages. There is no way we can even guess what Jesus looked liked.

No. It was this.

It was a 2 hour special. This is just some part of it.

Carbon dating can be drastically altered by radiation. The theory is that if radiation was created when Jesus "came back to life," it would have made the cloth unusable for that purpose.

Poppycock. They found pollen on the Shroud from the Middle Ages, and not before. The radiation theory is an invention by those who WANT to believe in fairy tales. It's been noted that the "face" greatly resembles the face of Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo was probably the only guy alive at that time who could have created a shroud that had those properties, and he is one of the smartest men to EVER have lived.
I saw an interesting program about how the image of Jesus was copied from the image of the ancient greek god zeus though most of it based on theory and speculation.
There are other people who tend to think Jesus was black and others white. Interesting as there has been no scientific evidence nor concrete proof that Jesus himself ever existed and yet people still obsess over what his race was and what he looked like.

It is reasonable to suspect that the face of Zeus is just as mysterious as the face of Jesus.

Jesus is just a character in Christian mythology IMO.
If Jesus hypothetically was a real person he would have been a Semite

If Y'shuah was the natural child of Galilean parents then we would be a Caucasian with an olive complexion and "Jewish" features. Visit Jerusalem today and look at the people be they Palestinian or Israeli and you will see the face of Jesus up to a general family resemblance. It is unlikely that Y'shua would be of immediate African descent. In the long run the entire human race (homo sapien sapien) is descended from African forbears.

I agree he would have looked olive skinned, like the people who live in Isreal, not blue eyed and pale like in classic paintings.
That point about whether he existed or not, I have never doubted.
Jospehus the Jewish historian wrote:
"Festus was now dead, and Albinus was but upon the road; so he assembled the sanhedrim of judges, and brought before them the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James, and some others, [or, some of his companions]; and when he had formed an accusation against them as breakers of the law,"
It doesn't say that Jesus had miraculous powers, but I think he did exist.
Also, these people that reconstruct faces are artists of sort and very skilled, but I often wonder if the final result depends on the artistic flare of the person doing the reconstruction and whether a different sculptor would come up with a different face.

It seems to me it would be something of a miracle if they all came up with the same face.
