Seriously you sore losers, Obama won, get over it.
Remember when Al Gore lost to George W. Bush and the Democrats whined about how the electoral system was messed up? The Obama birthers are just as pathetic as them.

Obama should just release the long form and get over with it. The only reason he would is if he's hiding something or wants this rumor to perpetuate.

Agreed, I personally think it is the latter, but it does make him look suspicious.

Didn't the old birth certificates indicate religion? he was probably born muslim. Wouldn't that be a senseless political scandal worthy of avoiding?

Mike Huckabee himself has stated the question of Obama's religion is irrelevant and that the whole birth certificate thing is total garbage

Lord Obama was under no legal obligation to do so.

A third alternative: none of the above. Maybe he does not give a sh*t about what the skeptics think. He was elected fair and square and the courts saw no impediment to his running for office and taking the oath.

Of course, Mike Huckabee recently claimed that Obama hates the British because he "grew up in Kenya" and was influenced by the Mau Mau movement. Huckabee's spokesman later claimed that Huckabee had simply misspoken, and was referring to Obama spending several years in Indonesia as a child, but that doesn't explain the Mau Mau reference...

And why doesn't Glenn Beck prove to the public that he didn't rape and murder a young girl in 1990? If he has nothing to hide he should surely be able and willing to prove his innocence.

Well, if he was born muslim then either a.) he is an apostate (GASP!), a capitol offense in the fundy muslim world or b.) he is lying about his true religious beleifs.

You can't really be "born" Muslim, or any other religion, as all religions require a positive affirmation of faith that an infant cannot make.

However, I have heard claims that all people (and sometimes even all animals) are born Muslim, or are Muslim in their natural state. In that sense, there are somewhere over 5 billion apostates in the world.

Not true. To run for office, you must prove your eligibility. The form allegedly submitted IS NOT a birth certificate, and it has been thoroughly debunked as a fake on numerous grounds.

The only reason litigation to this end has not moved forward is a ton of money for lawyers' fees and judicial activism trying to short-sheet the rule of law (saying a citizen of the USA has no standing to demand proof that a candidate is fit to hold office).

Since this has all begun, some basic facts have emerged....

1. Hawaii allowed non-US citizens to get certificates of live birth during the time Obama allegedly was born in Hawaii. This was because the state was in a period of growth and needed to add to its list of legal residents. So, the "certificate of live birth" even if authentic, would not be proof that someone was born in Hawaii.

2. The newest Governor of Hawaii declared that he would pull up Obama's birth certificate to put an end to this controversy. This man is an ardent Obama supporter, not an opponent. He recently admitted that there is no long-form birth certificate on file for Obama....something that can not be so if there is a certificate of live birth on file. You must produce one to get the other.

3. What is Obama hiding? If the birth certificate shows certain details, it might prove he is not a "natural-born" US citizen. More so, Obama held a foreign passport, and there is reason to believe he relinquished his claim to US citizenship before returning to the USA and deciding to enter politics....hence why virtually every document related to his past has been sealed.
