My father abused both drugs and alcohol and later died of it. Big reason why I don't drink or do drugs or even hangout with someone who does.

I don't drink either, and I don't hang out with substance abusers as well, it is a waste of time and can lead to difficult situations

I never understood why people mess with that stuff anyway. I saw first hand what drugs can do to someone and it taught me much more than any "Just Say NO" program in school.

Exactly. And I can function a lot better when I'm high than when I'm drunk. Matter of fact I'm pretty high right now and this post looks like any other post I would make sober.

What's with the double standard? Almost all weed myths are laughably bullshit.

Gateway drug? Tobacco and caffeine are softer "drugs", so why would weed be the beginning of the slippery slope?
Schizophrenia? Marijuana use skyrocketed since the 60's yet the schizophrenia rates are still pretty much the same.
Cancer? Yes if you smoke it, no if you vape or eat it.
Hallucinations? Sure, if you dip your joint or blunt in PCP.
Impairment? Yep, it's called being high.
Overdose? Even the DEA says weed is one of the safest substances known to man.

I'm sorry to hear about your father, but I'd like you to see things past your usual responses to em.

You want to say how much good you potheads do for America? You will be waiting a long time for it chiefy. There is a good reason why it should stay illegal.
The DEA says it is safest so what. It is a schedule one drug for a reason.

Cafeeine don't alter ones brain, nor does it make someone develop phycosis(sp) like pot does.

Yeah but cigarettes give you lung cancer and kill you. I'd rather be paranoid, have a bad memory, and not be able to concentrate (all things which describe me normally anyway) than be dead, ya know?
