Do you ever feel betrayed by god?

Hell yes! He gave me a logical mind which looks at what is and not what I would like it to be. Therefore He made it impossible to believe in Him since the world I observe neither needs a God nor would be improved by a God with the temperament described in the Bible. What a terrible thing He's done to me! It's all His fault!

the soul isnt real, whats referred to as the soul is electricity going from the brain to the rest of the body powering your body, in so many ways the human body is like a very advanced machine, thats why when you die they can use a defibrillator to POTENTIALLY bring you back by restarting you body with electricity(kinda like jumping a dead car battery) if your recently deceased instead of doing a "Soul Transplant". Defibrillators dont work all the time but they are far more efficient than the "Soul Transplants" done by your faith healers(im assuming thats what they are attempting idk for sure)

'Dark night of the soul' is just a phrase to describe a certain human 'process'. I guess we'd need to secularise it for atheists, or they will just get hung up on the soul thing. I don't believe in a soul as such, but I understand what a dark night of one refers to.
If you take these things so literally, you'll miss the point, basically.
As for feeling betrayed by God... I think a serious misunderstanding of what God is has taken place.
And remember, God helps those who help themselves.

my apologies i was not aware of what "Dark Nights of the Soul" is and no need to secularize things i just wasnt aware what it was, despite my beliefs on God i personally refer to God many times as a symbolic metaphor for nature, especially when im in a wilderness environment, the wilderness really brings out the philosopher in me as well as the poet, im not a bad poet but im not the best, i have made only a few good poems because i need inspiration for the good ones which i usually lack

You need some divine inspiration?
Nature is a good place to find God, although you can find God anywhere. Some places make it easier.
No need to apologise really, just giving my own take on things. I did my dark nights of the soul as a Buddhist, and they don't believe in souls

God, as the common definition of Him, does not exist in the places i visit. Its simply a metaphor for the perfect beauty of nature since perfectiveness is a trait attributed to God when i get philosophical and poetic it is just fitting to apply that definition to the beauty of the world and the Universe it is in no other way related than the metaphoric purpose of explaining the transcendent beauty nature possesses

and what i meant by inspiration is that my best poems are usually love poems and i can only write a good love poem if i am currently infatuated with someone, my infatuation no matter how temporary is usually enough to inspire me well enough

This is a question that i really would like to hear some opinions on, do you feel that god is betraying you by giving you AS and making your life different and sometimes harder than NTs?
I don't believe there is such a thing, but I will answer your question in the spirit in which it was intended.Do I think that life has treated me unfairly? I used to. However, I ultimately realized that I was treating life unfairly, and that explained more about why I was unhappy than anything else ever did. I realized that the quality of my life would never be greater than the investment of care I put into it. The world owes me nothing, and it will never ever owe me anything. Even if I put all of my energy and resources into making it a better place, it still won't owe me anything. To be happy, though, whether I am richer or poorer, fortunate or less fortunate, all I have to do is have the patience to show it more appreciation for what it is.
What you wrote was very beautiful and insightful, after reading this ive made up my mind that AS is a gift of beauty, since it gives us the gift of appreciating life for what it is. Thank you

You seem to have a lot of heartbreak inside of you. Well, maybe being logical isnt quite all that bad. Logical thinkers are usually very intellectual, and go quite far in life. Just think how your logical mind has helped you in so many ways. When your faucet keeps on turning on for no reason, some non logical thinkers automatically think its a ghost, but your logical mind has helped you to dicsover that your sink handles are not working properly, and your logical mind helped you fix them. Or when you need to figure out a math problem, a logical mind certainly helps you in that field as well. Im not sure if what i said made a bit of sense, but im basically trying to say a logical mind can be a blessing all on its own

I can see why some people might think that last line applies, but I am not aware of God ever having first promised to faithfully provide confidence in my ability to expect well and in keeping with His own intention.

To some extent, plumbing logic can be a blessing but then other people keep asking me to fix their faucets instead of their praying that God will fix them. I have better things to do and I always wanted to fly like Peter Pan. Fixing faucets is in no way a proper compensation.

crush up some Butterfly Ecstasy(its yellow so it will resemble the fairy dust Tinker Bell uses), snort it then jump off the highest building you can find lol
though most E is cut with things like Caffeine and MDA not pur MDMA so you could just get pure MDMA and take that to make sure you have more fun you will be rollin when your flyin LOL

During my days of magical thinking i felt God's presence everywhere. Which could be sort of a buzzkill frankly.
But even then, when i went to nature, what i found was nature.
This thread is interesting to me because I've seen a number of "atheists" who behave as though they are angry at god. Perhaps that is a phenomenon that is more common with NT people. To have atheism on an emotional rather than rational basis, I mean.

i have a rational stance on it, and idk if we get mad at the God as much as we get mad at the followers, because i know that generally its the followers i have problems with

Look for the bad followers, and you'll find them. Look for the good, and you'll find them, too. Which are you looking for, and why?
