Socrates thought people strove for immortality through bodily procreation, but that a better way to immortality was spiritual procreation (transmission of wisdom, virtue and justice). I'm not well up on philosophers (although a big fan of Monty Python).

Do you think the genetic/hormonal pressure to have kids is exactly the same for Aspies as NT?

Leaving aside the observation that nothing is exactly the same for any two human beings, I think the short answer is, "yes."

I am not aware of anything that links autism spectrum disorders to sexual impulse. I feel confident in saying that we present the same range of sexual behaviours as the global population. We may experience greater levels of frustration through social disabilities, but that doesn't mean that we are similarly hardwired for sexuality.

All the autistic people I know well enough to know (1 female, 3 male) are into sex but really really don't want kids. Just wondered if it were possible there was more likely different thinking about procreation.

I think there are plenty of neurotypicals who are equally ambivalent about kids.

But even if there is a correlation of AS with ambivalence about kids, that still leaves the question of cause. Does that ambivalence stem from the ASD itself, or is it the consequence of social defects that are the result of the ASD?

Neurotypicals think that autistics do not deserve to have kids.

I dont think thats true. I dont think that many NTs would have any opinion as the vast majority dont know anything about autism or AS as it doesn't touch their lives - all most would be aware of would be kids with non verbal classic autism.

Aspies are as horny as NTs. Their prospects, however, are not as good.

Yes they are as horny and want sex as much, but wanting having sex isn't just about procreation. I just wonder if they are as likely as NT to want kids given 4 people I know really don't want kids and have chosen to not have them (chosen).
I think though that their relationships came a little later in life 30+ and everyone thinks a bit deeper about having kids at that age, rather than just letting it happen it impulsively.

I want a full liter, personally. As many as I'm economically capable of supporting. Currently that is one, although plans for more to follow.

And Ruv, not all Aspies are unable or even less capable of attracting sexual partners.

That is true, but Aspies as well as others on the Spectrum do not have as good prospects (on the average) as NTs.

Actually we do, we just don't realize it. We'd be a lot less socially awkward if our brains were wired to pick up on facial and social cues, I know that sounds redundant. Our prospects are just as good if not better, but all things being equal we just don't perceive the opportunities.

If a girl in a forest flirts with an autistic man, does she make an impression?

Yes, especially if the Autistic Man gets a boner.

Maybe they can feel a social pressure to not procreate.
